AST at a glance

AST stands for Atlantic Standard Time. It is always UTC-4.

AST is standard time. While daylight saving time is in effect, the same areas use ADT (UTC-3) instead.

Right now Halifax uses ADT (UTC-3), not AST.

Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, Canada, Curaçao, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, U.S. Virgin Islands.

In some of these countries AST is used only in part of the country or only part of the year.

A plus sign means the clock there is ahead of AST, a minus sign that it is behind. Daylight saving time is included.
